EYFS Opening Mornings - November 2026

Looking for a Nursery or Reception place for your child? Join us to see our school in action and find out if Mitchell Brook is the right fit for your family.

What happens during the session:

• Tour our EYFS classrooms and outdoor learning areas
• Meet our EYFS Leader and hear about our vision, values and approach to early years education
• See our children learning and discover how we nurture curiosity, confidence and a love of learning
• Ask questions about our curriculum, daily routines and how we support each child's development

• Tuesday 5th November 2026 at 9:30am
• Tuesday 12th November 2026 at 9:30am

Reception Admissions

 If your child was born between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023, they will be eligible to start Reception in September 2027.

Applications for Reception places are made through Brent Council's online admissions system. The application deadline is 15th January 2027, and offers will be sent on 16th April 2027.

Key timeline:

Timeline	What happens
By 15th January 2027	Submit your application through Brent Council's online system
16th April 2027	You will receive an offer of a school place from Brent Council
May 2027	Deadline to accept or decline your offer
June 2027	Transition events and settling-in sessions for new Reception pupils (details will be provided with your offer)
September 2027	Your child starts Reception at Mitchell Brook Primary School

 Offers will be sent by Brent Council by email or post. Schools cannot contact you about the outcome of your application until after you have received your offer from the local authority.
