Autumn Term 

Throughout the unit term, Pre-Secondary Students have firstly explored the topic of Online Safety, with a focus  on the impact of their digital footprint. Children understand how what they share impacts upon themselves and upon others in the long-term.  Along with this, we have explored the consequences of promoting inappropriate  content online and how to put a stop to such behaviour when they experience it or witness it as a bystander. For example, students have used database research to evaluate the candidates for a football scholarship. This required students to explore the candidates online profile, identifying aspects which create a positive and also negative digital footprint. This allowed the students time to reflect on their own online profiles and suggest possible improvements to maintain our safety and reputation while online.
