Welcome to Year 3!
Online Learning Platforms
Google Classroom is the primary online platform used at Mitchell Brook Key Stage 2. This is a dedicated space for Year 3 students and the teaching team. Assignments can be set for students, learning can be submitted online using various Google applications or images of handwritten learning and feedback given.
EdShed is our chosen Home Learning platform where students are set weekly assignments for spelling and mental maths. Children are expected to complete their weekly Home Practice tasks but can choose to play a variety of spelling and Maths-based games as well.
LGfL (London grid for Learning) is a platform available to all London-based schools and hosts a huge range of programmes across the entire curriculum including PurpleMash, which we use for Computing, online reading opportunities and much more.

Completing learning at home during isolation
Please see the Year 3 blended learning timetable below.
You will be completing this learning, if:
- you are currently having to self-isolate and;
- you are well enough to complete the learning.
Learning can be completed on a device such as a laptop, tablet, written on paper or in the exercise books previously sent home.
Learning should be sent into school so teachers can give feedback where necessary. This can be a picture or copy of the learning and this can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively the completed learning can be handed to your child's class teacher upon their return to school.
