Reception Admissions

Welcome to our Reception information page for new parents. You will find information regarding your child starting with us in Reception. This includes information about routines, uniforms, the learning environment, and some ideas about how you can prepare your child for school.

We look forward to welcoming you to Mitchell Brook in September but until then we hope the additional information provide you with an insight into what you can expect.

School Uniform

Reception

Boys

• Grey school trousers
• Summer: Grey shorts
• White polo shirt
• School jumper/ cardigan with Mitchell Brook logo
• Plain black shoes or trainers (no colourful designs or brands)

Girls

• Grey pinafore, skirt or trousers* 
• White polo shirt 
• School jumper/ cardigan with Mitchell Brook logo 
• Grey or black tights only
• Summer: short-sleeved summer dress and white socks or tights

*please do not wear trousers and skirts together

P.E. Kit (Reception only)

• School jumper/ cardigan with Mitchell Brook logo
• School tracksuit bottoms with Mitchell Brook logo
• School polo t-shirt (This will be Red, Green, Blue or Yellow depending on your child's 'house' team.  If you are new to the school, you will be notified of your child's house team and colour in the additional information sent out to families.)
