BREAKFAST CLUB
Breakfast Club is from 7.30am - 8.45am every day. There are fresh bagels, fruit, a selection of cereals and fruit juice on offer every morning. Eating a healthy breakfast helps to improve a child's concentration, behaviour, attendance, punctuality and educational attainment. The children are all encouraged to eat a substantial breakfast providing them with the fuel for learning and a healthy start to the day.
Throughout Breakfast Club, there is a range of activities for the children; including reading, creative tasks and team games. The Breakfast Club is supported by 'Magic Breakfast'.
GRAB AND GO
Every morning, Breakfast Monitors help to distribute bagels and toast to all children who would like them on the way into school. This means that all children can start the day with the fuel for learning they need.
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB
At Mitchell Brook we are delighted to offer an After School Club, every day from 3.15pm to 5.45pm, which offers excellent snacks, staff and a range of activities in a warm, caring environment.
The children are encouraged to eat a healthy snack, which varies on a daily basis but includes sandwiches and fruit, whilst sharing stories with each other about their days. This is then followed by a range of activities for all age groups from outdoor games, planned play, and a range of opportunities for the children to play with their friends and Play Leaders developing their social skills and use of language.
Our reception children enjoy their snack and indoor free play from 3.30-4.00PM, whilst the elder children enjoy a focus activity outside or in the hall (weather permitting). The groups then swap over at 4PM. At 4.30 the children all come together and there is a variety of activities to choose from; construction, sport, free play and art. Our After School Club also features Film Club on a Friday, where the children are offered to choose an age appropriate film, which they can enjoy with Popcorn! We have cultural themed weeks that run throughout the year including; Christmas, Eid, and Easter.
All After School Club places must be pre-booked. Payment is to be made by midday on Friday for the days you would like your child to attend the following week.
